Glyn Speed & Ian Akroyd

Glyn and Ian took the reins through necessity at U11 age group, when the previous manager left the club unexpectedly. Fortunately they share the same ideals as to how football should be played and will not sacrifice their principles to a win at all costs approach.

In the real world Ian is a Contracts Manager for a major construction company and Glyn is a key accounts manager for a worldwide distributor of building materials, so both have extensive man management skills which are currently being utilised to the maximum with self opinionated 15 year olds. It is a continual frustration to both that because they do not play in the high reaches of Division A, that year on year they lose their best players to the better teams. Indeed this last season, despite gaining promotion, 2 players left for S.W.F.C., and 1 for Heeley boys. To quote Glyn "I know how Dario Gradi feels now, but when you come to terms with it, you can get satisfaction from helping the lads improve and consequently bettering themselves by playing at a higher level"
